Thomas J. Joy is a graduate of Southwestern University School of Law, Los Angeles, California and the College of Business Administration of Loyola University, Los Angeles, California. He has been licensed to practice law in California since 1976. His practice is limited to immigration and nationality law and concentrates on temporary and permanent business and employment related visas for healthcare personnel, professionals, executives, managers, athletes, entertainers and skilled workers - for companies that are multi-national and domestic, large and small. James P. Gagel, a former Fulbright Scholar in Latin America, has practiced immigration law for 20 years, representing clients across the U.S. and throughout the world, with a focus on corporate immigration law. Deirdre O'Brien, a native of Tullow, County Carlow graduated in law from Trinity College Dublin, and practiced as a solicitor (attorney) in Ireland until 1994, when she relocated to New York City. Deirdre was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1996 and now heads her own law firm, O'Brien & Associates, specializing in business immigration law.
Deirdre has been featured in articles in the New York Law Journal, the Irish Times and the Irish Voice. She has also had an article published in the Irish Law Society Gazette on the topic of the relative merits of the unified legal profession in the U.S., over the two-tiered system, (solicitor and barrister), in Ireland and elsewhere. She acted as a consultant in the preparation of the book The Girl's Guide to Starting Your Own Business, by Caitlin Friedman and Kimberly Yorio, published in 2003 by Harper Collins. Deirdre was interviewed recently by Pat Kenny, for 'Morning Ireland' in connection with American immigration policies in the wake of the events of 9/11. In New York, Deirdre answered immigration related questions on an Irish weekend radio show, Voice of Eireann Radio. In June 2004, Deirdre was honored as "Ireland's Best" by the American Friends of James Joyce, at New York's Yale Club for her achievements in the U.S.

Sergio R. Karas, B.A., LL.B., is a Canadian Barrister and Solicitor and a Certified Specialist in Canadian Citizenship and Immigration Law by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Mr. Karas was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and helped hundreds of people successfully establish themselves in Canada. He has been involved with many widely reported, high profile cases. Mr. Karas represents individuals and multinational corporations to achieve their immigration objectives and implement successful relocation strategies.
As part of his ongoing campaign to educate the public on immigration issues, Mr. Karas contributes to the press providing current information about Canada's immigration law and policies. His articles are published in several languages in national and international journals, and he provides immigration policy insight and commentary to Canada’s national press. He is a regular guest on local, national and international radio and television programs, and hosted his own show “Immigration and You” in ITV and Vision of Asia broadcasted bi-weekly for six years in New York and New Jersey. Mr. Karas is contributing writer on immigration issues for Canadian HR Reporter, a publication for Human Resources managers. He also teaches immigration law at Sheridan College in Toronto.

He speaks fluent English, French and Spanish and has a working knowledge of Italian, Portuguese and German. Derrick is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association's Immigration and Family Law sections, as well as the Orange County Paralegal Association's Immigration section.
Derrick earned his J.D. from the University of Idaho. He holds a B.A. degree in Latin American Studies from the University of California, Riverside, and an M.A. in English Composition from Cal State San Bernardino.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Derrick was a teacher. He taught English as a second language at various schools in Southern California and co-authored an intercultural communication workbook. He also lived and worked for a year in Ansan, South Korea, teaching English at Hanyang University.
